Pricenly collects price, stock availability and reviews for products listed on Mercado Libre and Amazon, from those products' public pages. This page describes how that is done, how often, and what the known limits of the data are.
What is collected
For each monitored product we record:
- Listed price at the moment of collection, in the listing's currency.
- Stock availability (whether the listing is active and purchasable).
- Reviews: average rating, review count and the text of public reviews, when a reputation analysis is requested.
- Seller associated with the listing, when publicly exposed.
Every record is stored with the real date and time of collection. That timestamp is what forms the price history.
How it is collected
The data comes from the public product pages of the marketplaces — the same pages anyone can open in a browser, without logging in. Collection is performed by our own infrastructure, automatically.
Pricenly does not use private APIs or data partnerships with the marketplaces. We are not affiliates, commercial partners or representatives of Mercado Libre or Amazon, and we have no access to any internal data from those platforms.
How often
Collection frequency depends on the plan:

The frequency is the minimum interval between two collections of the same product, not a guarantee of collection exactly on that interval. Collections can be delayed when the marketplace is unavailable or responds slowly.
The role of AI
Market and reputation summaries are generated by a language model from data that has already been collected — the model describes the numbers, it does not produce or estimate them. No price, rating or count shown in Pricenly is generated by AI.
Known limits
Being explicit about what the data does not guarantee:
- Price at collection time, not real time. Between two collections a price may have changed and changed back without being recorded.
- Flash promotions can be missed if they last less than the plan's collection interval.
- Listed price is not final price. Shipping, coupons, installment plans and checkout-applied discounts are not reflected in the collected value.
- Listing variations (colour, size, voltage) may carry different prices within the same listing; we collect the price displayed as the main one.
- Marketplace layout changes can interrupt collection of a field until the collector is adjusted.
- Coverage depends on what the seller publishes. If a listing goes offline, prior history is preserved but no new records are added.
